Microchipping

In the event that your pet becomes lost or stray, a microchip is the most effective way of identifying your pet and who it belongs too.

What is a microchip?

The microchip is chip about the size of a grain of rice that is implanted between the shoulder blades on the neck of your pet. It is completely safe and only requires a quick scan to identify who the pet belongs too and their contact details.

Who should microchip their pets?

By law in Victoria all pets must be microchipped. Most pets that are sold will already microchipped but if your pet isn't already chipped, make an appointment with The Vet Centre today. If your pet is already chipped, ensure your contact details are up to date.
